Yesterday was a national holiday, but unfortunately the
weather was bad. But on days like this (good weather
days are ok too) walking the Seven Slopes of Tennoji
is just the ticket. To the south lies route 25, to the north
Sennichimae Dori. to the west Matuyamachi Street and
to the east Tanimachi Street. Basically, the slopes are those of
Uemachi Plateau.
Here in the middle of the city are some open spaces.
Also there are plenty of shrines and temples
Walking these narrow paths you can experience a
peaceful atmosphere that is difficult to find in a city.
At the top of Kuchinawa Slope I found a memorial stone
for Sakunosuke Oda (a famous Osaka writer who ate our miso).
