On Saturday I went to Kyoto to take part in a radio
programme run by Kyoto Broadcasting. They had told me
that Marutamachi subway station was the closest.
For me the Keihan line was more convenient, so I went
to Marutamachi on the Keihan line.
Big mistake.
It took 20 minutes in the Kyoto heat to get to the studio.
I arrived dripping with sweat. At least my discomfort took my
mind off the live radio appearance and I was not nervous at all
as I listened to the explanation of the programme contents.
During a traffic report I quietly entered the studio, silently
greeting the host Tomaru Katsura and his assistant.
Suddenly I became nervous.
But Tomaru created a relaxed atmosphere and without noticing it
15 minutes flew past.
Suddenly it was over. I walked slowly back to the station
taking in the scenery of the Imperial Palace gardens.
Thanks to the staff of KBS and anyone who happened to listen.
